Timing Regulations

The outcome of the Cancun Ironman 70.3 depends mostly on the following:

Clock starts at the swim start signal and will run continuously until the end of competition, which officially ends 8 hours after the last wave start.

Resting time, transitions and other time used will count as part of your total time.

Timing splits for every segment of the competition will be available.

For the swimming segment the time limit is 1 hour and 10 minutes after the last wave start, any competitor who remains in the water after this time will be disqualified, and can not continue with the race.

For the bike segment the time limit is 5 hours after the last wave start, any competitor who remains on the bike course after this time will be disqualified, and can not continue with the race.

The same rules and conditions apply to the running segment with a time limit of 8 hours after the last wave starts.
